Shredder

I had about 4 hours to create a costume before an early Halloween party, so what's a nerd to do? That's right! Whip out the cardboard and aluminum foil, Abigail May, we're gonna have a ho-down!! I also have to mentioned I was all jacked up on nachos and candy corn to get me through the late hours. Huge thanks to Celina for sewing my sparkly purple cape, and Ocean for the support and not hitting me with that huge fucking bat I made....

1 AM : Obviously, doubt has set in. How in the hell am I going to pull this shit off? WTF was I thinking?

1:15 AM : Candy corn has revitalized my intentions! I will finish what must be done!

3 AM : I finally understand the essence of the baked potato....

5 AM : OH SHIT! FATTY ON A RAMPAGE!

Time for turtle soup!

Swordfish II

↓Download

Based on Spike Speigel's (in)famous spaceship. The model was found somewhere on the net and transported to /po/, so if you're the original designer please let me know. I spent about a week reconfiguring the 3D model to make it buildable (hopefully), and will test it out on colored cardstock soon.

About halfway through disassembly and simplifying the parts... The original model looked amazing, but definitely was not constructed with building in mind...

All the parts have been simplified and spread out to make dissecting them easier in Pepakura.

Starting the unfold in Pepakura. A few snags I encountered were buggy exported .3DS files and a few missing faces =x However, I switched over to .OBJ format and everything worked out great. This model is going to end up being about 30 1/2" long from the tip of the cannon to the tip of the engine, and about 20" wingtip to wingtip, so rather large, but should look amazing suspended from the ceiling!

Alright, unfolding is done! In total, it will take 9 sheets of red cardstock, 3 sheets of black, 1 gray, and 1 white. Of course, you can always print all of the sheets on white, but it seems like a waste of ink to me... 5 sheets/$1 for colored cardstock vs. $30/color cartridge.

Just for reference, the cannon alone is ~13".... Things gonna be MASSIVE =D

One of the wings.

Wings attached to body. I could not stretch my arm any farther! The wingspan ended up at 22" and looks awesome already, at least to me. Sorry for the messy room, but say hi to Donatello =]

Nearly done! Just a few more engine parts and the handles.

Done and hanging from the ceiling.

Raccoon Mario

Something I've wanted to build for a long, long time... It will, hopefully, be about 24" from hat to tail, and hang from the ceiling. Stay tuned for updates!

  • So far I've got most of his face modeled, save for his hat. Still some editing to do, like shrinking those Ross Perot ears... =/

Little editing needed on the hat, and then on to the body. Yay!

Spoink, a Pokemon model requested on the Nintendo Papercraft forums. Cute little bugger, but that tail is a pain in the ass.

Megaman Papercrafts

Hello all you /po/opers and other papercraft aficionados. I finally got around to putting up my own blog, and this is where I shall post pics of my new models. To start, here are pics and links to all of my current projects, save for Sniper Joe/Armor. And yes, one day I will redo Airman, I promise.

Megaman
(my printer ran out of ink while making his head, the real one looks much better)

Airman
(my first scratch-built model, don't be too harsh on it)

Woodman
